My Home In Heaven

When the last vestige of life is gone from Earth

All human life will be gone to Heaven or to hell

Perhaps we could prevent destruction of Earth

If we listen and follow our God and we do His will

But the way we despoil the Earth and what is in it

I know God isn’t happy about the way we do things

We will know if we are among ones who do wrong

If we are missing as the jeweled crowns God brings

One night with our Savior would show you the way

He would tell about a home He has made for you

With great White Marble buildings He made for us

That home will be yours forever if to Him you are true

Only one way you can find that home is with Jesus

He has the keys to the gate that will let you come in

No Silver, Gold or precious stones can pay your way

You must believe in Him and He will take away your sin

Heaven Or hell

Will tomorrow bring to you happiness

Have you made things right with God

Do you know if it is to Heaven or hell

Where you go when put under the sod

You make your own journey through life

No one will make those decisions for you

You can follow the life God wants for us all

Or take the steps the old devil wants us to

Follow God and live eternally up in Heaven

Or pursue the path the devil has put you on

If you follow God there is a life of happiness

Follow the devil that happiness is all gone

It is not a hard choice that you must choose

For the end result is where you eternally live

If God is your choice Heaven will be for you

If the devil then ever a life in hell he will give

Our National Emblem

High up in the sky a majestic Eagle soars

His keen eye scours the landscape below

He is looking for any animal he can catch

Or perhaps a Trout that is swimming slow

He makes no sound as he soars in the sky

His wings extended as far as they can be

His bill and talons are as sharp as a razor

He dives with speed his prey may not see

So free and easy this beautiful bird does fly

He makes maneuvers with breakneck speed

His strength and quickness are without equal

He is a ferocious fighter so others take heed

The Eagle is the national emblem of the USA

So proudly He represents what we are all about

He will never back down and show any defeat

His makeup shows that he has very much clout

He Can Give

If everything was left up to man

We would make shamble of life

A world that would have no hope

One filled with trouble and strife

God is what keeps it all together

Otherwise it would fall all apart

He has made a perfect universe

Man could never be that smart

He gives life to newborn babies

Extends life to some who are old

I am an eighty five year old man

Proof that I don’t need to be told

Let me tell you about God Almighty

I know that on this day he does live

That He can save your soul from hell

Your home up in Heaven He can give

Blameless

With the darkest of nights I find no fear

For my Lord will keep me from all harm

I shall ever be thankful for His guidance

With Him there shall never be an alarm

Darkness shall pass and dawn will come

God shows there is perfect circle of a day

Every twenty four hours we see that circle

Not one second does He let that time sway

We would expect no imperfections from God

For He made a complete universe in balance

Everything runs smoothly without any mistakes

We know this is all through our God’s guidance

Trust in God, confess your sins and find Heaven

He will invite you into His land of eternal promise

Up there will be a life that will never have an end

For sins we committed we will be held blameless

I Love Spring

I love to smell the clippings of a newly mowed lawn

It means that Wintertime has now over and is past

A time in which we struggled to find a warm place

We thought that cold Wintertime would forever last

But with the Springtime we can cast our coats aside

Shorts and short sleeved shirts will be what we wear

What a wonderful time of the year we will experience

If the temperature gets up past eighty I just don’t care

We see Azaleas and Rhododendron blooming so pretty

White and Pink Dogwood still have bloom for us to see

What a joyous landscape our God has given to everyone

Yes Springtime is as beautiful as anything could ever be

Thoughts of wetting a line at my favorite fishing hole

Come to my mind as I see this perfect cloudless sky

What excuse can I give for not doing my needed work

Guess I will just ignore them when they ask me why

Mother’s Empty Chair

Gazing at the empty chair I hear mother singing

Rock of Ages was one of mom’s favorite songs

Though that chair has been empty for a long time

It still seems like that is where mother still belongs

How my heart melts with all those wonderful lyrics

They still sound like she sung them long years ago

In my dreams she always sings with a perfect pitch

I will hear them again when up to God’s Heaven I go

Mothers are always special to her boys so it seems

Yes I know she always loved her two little girls too

But somewhere in her heart the boys were different

With all her children she did everything she could do

When I climb those Golden stair steps up to Heaven

I will first thank my God for taking this sinner up there

Then I would search out my dear mother and hug her

She would know then how much for her I really care

Slaughter In Pike County

When you hear of a slaughter happening

You turn to God and will ask Him God why

We know we will find all the truth about it

When we enter in to the Holy City in the sky

A seemly senseless slaying of eight people

As three innocent babies are spared there life

I only wish I had the answer to tell everyone

It seems this whole world is so filled with strife

When it happens so close you do pay attention

It could have been your family that met their fate

It is my prayer their soul they had given to God

I just hope that they didn't put it off and was late

If and when they catch the people who did this

This most hideous crime that everyone avows

There can be no reason that would cause this

Let their fate be everything that the law allows

This happened in Pike county Ohio. About 30 miles from my home.

Springtime In Ohio

Walk the land of the White Dogwood and Red Bud

Smell the pure air on this an Ohio warm spring day

Hear the chirping of the Redbirds as build their nest

In the playground you can hear children as they play

This is Springtime in Southern Ohio as God planned it

Warmth now prevails the cold of Wintertime is passed

Honeybees are collecting nectar used to make honey

We wish this kind of lovely weather would forever last

We see two boys with cane poles over their shoulders

They are going to Brush Creek to catch a Bass or two

Water in the creek is clear as crystal at this time of year

It might be somewhat cold but they will take a swim too

We know God made a place more perfect than our Ohio

One day we will get to go up there and be with Him too

Yes He made Heaven better than a warm Spring in Ohio

Until that day He calls us to Heaven Ohio will have to do

Lessons To Be Learned

What would you do if God came today

Would you rejoice or try to hide in shame

Would you know that Heaven is waiting

If you do not it will be only you to blame

How many times have you heard it said

Repent your sins and in God you believe

If you have heeded that advice and listened

Knowing Heaven awaits will your heart relieve

But if you wait and think you will do it later

Time then may not be your very best friend

God will come in the twinkling of your eye

Will it be Heaven or will it be hell at the end

God will not just give you a home up in Glory

He has made it a special place that is earned

Only true believers will find their Eternal home

Read the Holy Bible see lessons to be learned

He Sent His Son

Today could be that day you know

When God calls you to His kingdom

Will you be there to meet your Lord

Have you acquired enough wisdom

He has told us repent sin and believe

He built a home where we all can live

It is a mansion made for us in splendor

It is free just belief in Him is all you give

I can only dream what Heaven will be

Since God made it I know it is the best

When you get to the land God has made

You shall have complete and eternal rest

Isn’t our God great in everything He does

He sent His Son to earth to save all of us

Although He knew His son would soon die

He sent His Son who we all know is Jesus

A Serene Place

I know that my past life was far from perfect

But have changed and make less errors now

I have found faith in my Savior and I love Him

I escaped the devil my Jesus showed me how

I confessed my sins to Him and now am saved

He has blessed me and taken the sins all away

I have a wonderful feeling deep inside my heart

I know I will find a home in Heaven one bright day

To meet and greet all those who live up in Heaven

Will bring great happiness to this sinner’s thinking

To know that Jesus died to take away all my sins

Takes my mind off that devil who is ever slinking

Wont you come and join with me in His friendship

Find with knowledge of being saved is satisfaction

Heaven will give you a serene place for all eternity

It will surpass everything you saw in your imagination

Forever I Will Be

When I see my Lord up in Glory

Tears of joy will will flood my soul

It was on Earth that I first met Him

To be sanctified and made whole

My life I entrusted with my sweet Jesus

To be reborn and to be Heaven bound

He saved me from the fiery pit of hell

For it was a better way of life I had found

I confessed to Him I was a dreadful sinner

Asked forgiveness for each and ever sin

I told Him I believed that He is the creator

Of the whole universe and everything within

When this Earthly time is over and done

I will ascend to that home he made for me

See the wonders that God has made for us

With my Lord and Master forever I will be

Down To Ever Detail

When that Earth clock strikes midnight

That is when my Lord shall call me away

To this place He has prepared for believers

Where we shall never see a clouded day

To this land of great perfection I will go

Where the days are not numbered there

Eternity means forever in God’s kingdom

We will ever be in our Savior’s loving care

Wonders we shall find when we get there

Many things not known down on the Earth

Lot of questions we have will see answered

He will show us why we did need a rebirth

Glory we will find with our God in Heaven

Every day we will worship Him without fail

There will never be a flaw found in Heaven

God has made it perfect down to ever detail

Our Creator

To Him I give my life in dedication

He, who is the creator of my soul

Son of God is strong and I am weak

Love of Jesus Christ made me whole

How do I know that He is my creator

It was something that is real and we see

We didn’t just happen to be a baby one day

It was our God that created you and me

As I study the pages of the Holy Bible

I learned He has made a place for me

It shall be forever my home in Heaven

It is where all us believers desire to be

I would shout to all of this whole world

I believe God made everything we see

No other way could this all be possible

Yet some say this just happened to be

A Life Of Perfection

I walked through the forrest today

There was so many things I did see

There were birds flying overhead

A squirrel ran up a Hickory tree

I could hear a crow call his mate

A nut fell from a tall White oak tree

Moss was growing on a large rock

This place of solitude made for me

Some one was also walking there

He made not a sound as we walked

He told me of a place called Heaven

I listened very carefully as He talked

He told of a place He had made for me

Where forever I would be in His care

Never to have sickness or pain again

A life of perfection I would find there

I know now where I will go after death

To that home God has made for us

There to live with our Savior forever

I’ll get to meet our best friend Jesus

Merle and George

God has another wonderful singer for His choir

A great singer he left the Earth a few hours ago

Yes Merle has joined George and a lot of others

That beautiful Heavenly choir continues to grow

Though he seemed to be a person without faith

I heard him say he was very religious one time

He sang gospel songs like none other could sing

Only God could have taken away any of his crime

It makes no difference what we have done in life

God has the power to take it all completely away

If all our sins are confessed to our Lord and Savior

We can all meet with God up in Heaven some day

Yes Merle Haggard and George Jones are gone now

Still we can listen to their recorded voices every day

After I get to Heaven I want to listen to them singing

Along with many other great singers to God I do pray
