Continue To Grow

Tears will fall like raindrops when I see Him

Joy will overwhelm me as He calls my name

I will fall down on my knees as I pray to Him

I will thank Him for taking all my sinful blame

Without His love I know I would be lost forever

A day with Him shall be illuminating as the sun

Never will I ever leave our blessed Savior’s side

For I know our victory in Heaven has been won

He has told me of a beautiful city we call Heaven

Where all who believe in Him will live some day

It is up there we shall all gather around His throne

We will tell Him of our great love for Him as we pray

Should tomorrow be that day He calls me up there

Without any doubt I know that I will be ready to go

He will lead me to a land where we shall live forever

There my love for our Savior shall continue to grow

Our Food

I hear whispers as the tall Pines sway

It is a dark and gloomy rain filled day

Lightning can be seen for many miles

Thunder shakes the ground far away

God is giving the gardens needed water

First rain we have had in over two weeks

Eagerly the plants soak up the cool water

As the rain from the clouds steadily leaks

Soon there will be ears of corn to roast

Ripe Red tomatoes will bring us a feast

Watermelon and Cantaloupe are great

Green Beans are next but not the least

It is a wonder how God created our food

So nutritious and it sustains our ever being

When the growing season is past and done

A full larder of this food we will be seeing

There Is Another Direction

There will be peace and comfort up in Heaven

All evil thoughts of this Earthly world will be past

Believers In our Savior will live a life that’s eternal

Everyone there has love for God that will ever last

On Earth if we read and understood His promise

It is a home that He built for each of His children

A home that would be fit for even a reigning king

It is there we will receive our crown we have won

It is all written in the Holy Book known as the Bible

So if we follow all of it’s commandments and rules

He will take all of our sins and give to us a pardon

People who wouldn’t obey our Lord would be fools

Will I meet you up in that wonderful land some day

I know I want so badly to spend all eternity with you

Think of what the consequences are without our Lord

There is another direction that you could be going to

Our Failing World

In these trying times we need Him

Our world is mad and falling apart

For Him to correct this foolishness

I wonder where He would first start

To open up women’s toilets to men

I know must disturb our loving God

Seeng His creation turn against Him

Must make our Savior’s head nod

These things happened in time past

God’s anger destroyed two bad cities

Sodom and Gomorrah failed to listen

He destroyed them for failure to please

Will we see the destruction of the world

Because some people have gone crazy

It is sad to know what is happening now

I thank our God some of us can still see

Shawnee Hills Baptist Church Choir

If you listen you can hear their voices singing

So sweet are the songs that I have in my ear

It must be angels with their voices that blend

Or Shawnee Hills Baptist Church choir I hear

Eugene is the leader of this group of singers

He has whipped them into a very fine group

No off key singing will you hear from the choir

With practice they have become a fine troupe

How great thou are could be one of my favorites

They sing that song with voices that really blend

Many other songs they sing that please my ears

At times I am sorry to hear songs come to an end

Compare them with other choirs I have heard

Now that is the one thing that I would never do

But when we hear all the choir singing together

Shawnee Hills Baptist Church is not number two

A Sanctuary Of Peace

One day I will walk with Him in glory

Happiness will be seen in my smile

His gentle voice will sooth my mind

I enjoy listening to Him all the while

What He tells me I shall believe Him

He is the great Creator of everything

He is alive and He is real to my soul

A new life up in Heaven He will bring

His daily messages bring me comfort

Only He can give peace to my mind

There is none other who could do this

Because our dear Lord is one of a kind

I smile when I think of being with Him

Every day from then through Eternity

His divine power has created Heaven

A sanctuary of peace for you and me

One Day

Yesterday is a part of the past to be remembered

Tomorrow is waiting for a part I have never seen

Time can be a mystery we know not what it holds

That mystery we find lies somewhere in between

Dreams we find some times are part of the future

Others are forgotten and become part of the past

Thoughts can be provoking and leave us to think

We wonder how long our life on the Earth will last

We know there is a wonderful place called Heaven

Where doubts and questions are answered by Him

It is where we all want an eternal life up with Jesus

If you have never met Jesus your life is mighty grim

Mix your tomorrows with your yesterdays and find

If you have been true to to God with your life now

There is a place for you up in God’s great Kingdom

Where one day God will give you a jeweled crown

Skies Are Always Blue

To hear Him call my name will be beautiful

My heart will sing a most wonderful song

To know I shall spent all eternity with Him

In God’s Land of Glory I shall ever belong

It brings tears to my eyes to think about it

What wonders in that new life we will see

No other place could bring us so much joy

For God has made Heaven for you and me

In His care we will be one big happy family

Beautiful songs by the angels we shall hear

No other place gives so much love to us all

We know that our Savior will always be near

Some people think that I am only dreaming

It is sad to think but you will find it is all true

God lives and He has built a beautiful home

Up in Heaven where skies are always Blue

Our Way Of Thinking

In this crazy mixed up world we live in

It might be hard to know what is right

Where a man or woman changes gender

It is like trying to make a day into a night

God must be wondering what he created

He intended to make a man love a woman

Where they could marry and would reproduce

But not reproduction with a man with a man

A girl is suppose to share a toilet with a man

What logic has brought this into being the law

Never have we condoned this craziness before

We would have considered the man an outlaw

What stupid idea will they next bring before us

I shudder to think of what this world is becoming

Will God put a stop to this totally mixed up world

Or will a new generation change our way of thinking

Our Love Is Profound

As evening shadows begin to lengthen

All our days work has been put to rest

Time to reflect on what was done today

Have we always tried to be our very best

Would God approve of what we have done

Have we gotten His word and will we obey

We only want to be what He wants us to be

This is what we try to do each and every day

When the trumpet sounds and I reach Heaven

I know my God will be up there to greet me

A great Jubilee will be seen that day by all

No more suffering or pain will we ever see

I know Heaven will be a place of great beauty

Peace and comfort will be with us each day

Our love for our Lord and Master is profound

I know His love for us is in the very same way

I Shall Forever Please

When God puts His arms around you

He will carry you to His home far away

His love and understanding is forever

He will take you up to Heaven one day

I cherish the thought of seeing Heaven

Where everything there seen is grand

Fields where angels play are beautiful

It is sweet to hear that Heavenly band

Everything up in Heaven is so wonderful

Not one thing can mar it’s perfect beauty

He made Heaven with upmost perfection

A home of rest for all of us believers to see

My eyes will fill with tears when I see Him

Without thought I will fall on bended knees

Knowing He is the great creator of of us all

It will be my aim for Him I shall ever please

You Shall Reside

When the time is dark call on the Lord

Out of that darkness He shines the light

He will show you the way out of distress

Take away your bewilderment and fright

He is the master of all things in the world

Creator of everything the universe shows

It is impossible to hide a thing from Him

Long before it happens He already knows

Listen to Him for He will show you the way

To that eternal Kingdom high up in the sky

He is control of everything in the universe

So you don’t need to bother to ask Him why

He loves you and wants you with Him always

Never to sway too far from our Savior’s side

So keep saying your prayers and be faithful

One day up in God’s Heaven you shall reside

His Name Is Jesus

There is a friend who will not turn His back to you

He lives in a place far away and His name is Jesus

Once He lived on Earth along with all mortal men

He died on an old wooden cross to save all of us

If you do not know Him, He is so very easy to find

Call His name in a prayer and He will answer you

If you confess your sins and believe He is alive

You will know that He will become your friend too

When you enter His Heaven that is above the sky

You will see a home that will be yours for eternity

Much beauty God has put in that Heavenly home

It is a place of rest and comfort for you and for me

We know not when our time on Earth will be over

It might be years from now, but it could come today

If you have confessed your sins and believe in God

Your place in God’s kingdom can’t be very far away

Heaven Bound

Lord will you walk along with me

Lead me up to the promised land

Show me how to please only you

My heart to you Lord I will expand

I know you are the right way to go

If that eternal life I shall get to live

Every day of life here on this Earth

My love to precious Jesus I do give

Every day brings me closer to you

Knowing what you do for everyone

How you will love and protect us all

When a home in your Kingdom is won

Although my life was filled with sin

You have turned my life all around

There will be happiness in my soul

When I find out I am Heaven bound

Are You To Blame

When the shackles of this life are broken

Up to Heaven shall be God’s beckon call

Around God’s throne we shall there gather

Never again will we either stumble or fall

His kingdom shall be our home for eternity

Earthly problems are never more to be seen

We will live up there in complete harmony

It is there we will see a most beautiful scene

Around Gcd’s throne there shall be singing

Our thanks to God will be heard above it all

As we pray a prayer of graciousness to Him

We will thank Him for hearing our frantic all

If not having this Savior who cared for me

My soul would be with the devil down in hell

But I have been rescued and I so thank Him

When I get there to my Holy Savior I shall tell

Up there we will not see picking and choosing

Every one with God will be treated the same

He loves us all with compassion unsurpassed

If your home isn’t in Heaven you are to blame
