My Home In Glory

I want to walk with my friend named Jesus

It was He who took my sins as if His own

He died my death, a price paid for sinners

I will meet Him one day to claim my crown

There is no greater friend that one can find

He has made us a place for our eternal life

Where peace and tranquility shall always be

It’s in a place where there can’t ever be strife

Beautiful homes we shall see made of ivory

With Gold and Silver to accent what He made

We can live in one of those homes up in Glory

If from our loving Father we have not strayed

What a thrill that I to get to meet our dear Lord

Then think with Him I will spend all of eternity

In that City God made for all of His believers

It shall be a place of comfort for you and me

Love That Church

When the Suns rays have slipped behind the hill

Night will soon come to the valley that lays below

It is a peaceful evening for all those people there

Many have church services to which they will go

It is revival time for the little church on the corner

Special singing and preaching will soon fill the air

Dr. Lemming will the delivering the message tonight

He is telling us that our Lord and Savior does care

What a glorious night we have as he preaches to us

Not one word is missed as we listen with keen interest

He tells us that there is a place far away from this Earth

A wonderful place where we can find comfort and rest

We love that church pastored by our friend Kenny Estep

Shawnee Hills Baptist Church is a great church for you

Consider going to that church there on Easter Sunday

I know you would find it is a church you would love too

You Must Choose

Will you walk the streets in Heaven with Jesus

Or will you dance in pain in the devil’s hot fire

There is a choice that you can make right now

It must be that you will have a complete desire

Confess your sins to our Savior and believe God

Words you will need are found in that Holy Book

Many things you never had heard of you will see

Open it and read every word don’t just take a look

In it you will find that Jesus was born here on Earth

In a manger where Mary gave birth to our great King

There was no great celebration when Jesus was born

He would have been hunted down and felt deaths sting

You will see that He paid the highest price for our sin

On that hill that was called the name of Mount Calvary

He was crucified by the Roman soldiers that evil day

Who gambled for His clothing and laughed with glee

If what Jesus did for you doesn’t convince you today

Then the devil certainly has his sights set upon you

Will it be Heaven or will it be Hell that you will choose

Today you should choose for tomorrow you might rue

Judgement

When the roll is called up in Heaven

Will your name be one that is heard

Or will it fall silent as if it is not known

You didn't listened to what God offered

Prepare for that day and the Judgement

Which surely will come for you one day

You can’t leave Earth and go to Heaven

Unless you let our Lord show you the way

He would say you must be a real believer

Confess your sins and they shall be mine

You then can pass on the Judgement day

You can then enter Heaven a place divine

Pray to God your name shall not be silent

That in His book you will find your name

Know then you will get to see sweet Jesus

Rewards you have won you then can claim

One Of His Herds

If tomorrow should find me in that great City

Happiness shall thrill me throughout my soul

For it will mean that Jesus took my sins away

It was His love for me that I was made whole

He is our only true Savior of us sinners below

He took it upon Himself to die for all our sins

When the sting of death befalls our mortal life

It is then our life in God’s great Heaven begins

A land of Glory God has made for us high above

With sites that are so rare that no man can vision

It is with great perfection that God made Heaven

I want to go there one day to see God’s only Son

It is only through Jesus that we can go up there

We must confess our sins and believe His words

He has given us commandments for us to follow

God is our shepherd, we are in one of His herds

A Place Called Heaven

Do you dream of a place called Heaven

Where freedom and peace there abound

It is a land where God is the supreme King

Where no other master could ever be found

There we will find friends who had passed on

Their reward they have received from God

He has given them a crown of great beauty

When we receive ours we surely will be awed

When I meet my Lord I shall fall down at His feet

I shall thank Him for giving me His wonderful grace

Tell Him of my great love I have for saving my soul

I will thank Him for giving me a home in this place

What we conceive of Heaven are not the true facts

No mortal man has ever seen what its like up there

It will be a great surprise to us when we meet Him

It will be so beautiful that we will stand and stare

Heaven

There is a brighter day coming

When I meet my God in Heaven

I will thank Him for the glorious day

My home that day will be given

There to meet Jesus in his Glory

See Saint Peter at the Golden gate

Watch angels play their great tunes

Stay all day because it’s never late

Heaven will not have any time zones

It will be now every second of the day

Sun will never set on God’s great empire

There is no need for sleep to waste away

All the beauty of Heaven will dazzle you

Just think it was all made by God’s hand

I hope some day to meet you up there

We will walk upon on the Golden strand

My Bible 

My favorite part of the Bible is from the first to the last page

Everything in between is what our Savior wants us to know

Everything from Genesis through Revelation tells us a story

It tells us all about Jesus on Earth both the high and the low

It tells about Jesus hanging on the cross as they spit on Him

Gambling for His clothes as they had stripped them all away

Placing a crown of thorns on His head as the mocked Jesus

He took on our sin so we could go to Heaven one bright day

In Luke it tells us that Jesus healed ten men that were lepers

Nine of them turned away from Jesus then they walked away

One was so thankful for how Jesus cured him of that leprosy

He praised Jesus for what Jesus had done for him that day

These are two of the many things you will find in God’s Bible

Read it from cover to cover many great lessons you will find

Follow the path that it will lead and obey what it means to you

You will go up to Heaven with a clear and an untroubled mind

No In Between

God has made each of us a promise

Obey His commandments and believe

God’s place will be yours for all eternity

A wonderful crown you will then receive

Heaven will be your home He has told us

Every place up there you will be free to go

Not one thing will God hide from believers

If it was not true He would have told us so

Each day there will be filled with enjoyment

Not one hassle shall ever come to us there

In His arms we shall always know the comfort

We will find happiness in His ever loving care

Mere words could never describe God’s Heaven

Because it is unlike anything man has ever seen

He meticulously made everything that is up there

He made it with perfection there is no in between

My Savior’s Accord

He has promised me a place in His Kingdom

Where I shall spend all eternity with my Lord

When this life on Earth shall be over and done

A home in Heaven shall be my Savior’s accord

With nothing safe in this world we now live in

What happiness we shall find in that fair land

Where we will be protected by God’s loving arms

Living there with our friend Jesus will be so grand

To be free to walk with Jesus on that Golden shore

Shall be a delight far beyond what we think it will be

No fears or problem will beset us for His word is law

Everything will be perfection for everyone there to see

You can get to Heaven if you confess sin and believe

For Jesus died when He took on the burden of our sin

On that old rough cross he suffered and died for us all

Now the portals of Heaven will open and let us come in

Talking To God

When those pearly gates swing open

In amazement my eyes will roll around

I will see the most beautiful sight there

An angel band is making a lovely sound

In this pristine setting I shall be with Him

There to walk and talk the whole day long

He will tell me all the things I thought about

He will remind me of what on Earth was wrong

Down there I had made a perfect world He said

Then I made man who seems to want to destroy

Most of the really good things I made down there

I had made them for all of the people there to enjoy

There is is no turmoil known up here in Heaven

Only peace and quiet rest here will be found

This is were we shall live throughout all eternity

We shall find our home on God’s Hallowed ground

Sit By The Window

All day she sits by the window and looks out

Sometimes she falls asleep and then dreams

About her young life and how it was back then

She thinks of a sweetheart and her face beams

He courted her and then ask her to marry him

She accepted and they became man and wife

They were such a great and loving couple then

They promised to love each other all their life

While driving down the highway that rainy day

He lost control of the new car they had bought

A semi was headed in the path his car was going

Heaven was the destination that his soul sought

Some day she will join him in that beautiful land

Together again happiness shall be truly supreme

She will spend these days with her sweet husband

No longer will she sit by that window and dream

Heaven’s Open Door

I can feel His love deep in my heart

He is a friend that I can depend on

When the sting of death comes to me

From Heaven He will call and I’ll be gone

Gone from a world that He made perfect

One that man has made now to imperfection

He knows everything that happens on Earth

We sinners need to ask Him for redemption

Without God we would be lost for all eternity

With Him we can have a new life in Heaven

If we admit all of our sins and believe in Him

We will find that a great victory has been won

If today should be the day He calls me home

I shall no longer have any afflictions any more

A perfect body shall be my reward from Him

As soon as I enter through Heaven’s open door

Heaven Is For Believers

I want to walk with Jesus one bright day
On the sandy shores of the river we walk

I could spend many hours with my Savior 

I would intently listen as my Lord does talk

He will tell me about the beauty of Heaven

How a sinner can confess and get up there 

He must also believe in God’s Holy promise

You can spend all eternity in His loving care

There is but one Heaven and God created it

He made it as a sanctuary for all who believe

It is a place where everyone has a life eternal

Happiness will drive away any cause to grieve

He will show you the way if you will only listen

His Kingdom welcomes all even those with sin

If you confess sin and you believe His promise

He will open the portals of Heaven and let you in

Springtime In Southern Ohio

When spring comes to the hills of Southern Ohio

There is much beauty God will bring to these hills

Green will blanket and hide Winter’s barren land

Water will now run freely along those ice free rills

Soon the beauty of the dogwood will dot the hills

Redbud will add beauty to please a searching eye

Although Winter has been very mild to us this year

We still will be glad to tell the Wintertime goodbye

It is time to hear the crack of the bat hitting a baseball

Hear the children out in fields where they are playing

We will talk to the parents that are watching their kids

It is many proud things about the kids they are saying

You might say that I am in love with these hills of Ohio

I was born and most of my eighty five years lived here

Different places in this world I have been fortunate to see

But the wonderful hills here in Southern Ohio are so dear

Our Holy Bible

If we would read and understand the Holy Bible

It might be a much different life we would live

Everything written in that book is the gospel truth

If you will read it you will find a crown God will give

It tells us of those cities of Sodom and Gomorrah

Some of this evil doing is done in our country today

He destroyed the wicked people living in those cities

All the good people except Lot’s wife ran and got away

If you think He will put up with all of these foolish doings

This shows everything that a very angry God might do

In order to spend an eternal life up in His great Kingdom

We must ask forgiveness for our sins and to Him be true 

So read this magnificent book and try to understand it

Each page will require much thinking so take your time

If you will follow the teachings that the Bible gives to us 

After Earthly life is over up the Golden stairs you will climb

God’s Greatest Gift

When the winds of time have blown away

No longer shall we be living on this Earth

If we have been faithful to our loving God

It’s then that Heaven will be your final berth

God has made a truth that is for you and me

That there is a great land where you can live

It will be a for all of eternity with God almighty

It will be the greatest gift that He can ever give

Heaven shall be a land of the greatest beauty

Where no harm or heartache will come our way

A place where happiness is alway with everyone

Where walking with Jesus makes us a bright day

Today we can earn our place in that Holy Land

We can get down on our knees and then pray

Ask forgiveness for our sin, tell Him we believe

Heaven shall be ours when death comes our way

You Wont Be Late

When darkness comes to that deep valley

My eyes will no longer show me the way

With the guidance of my Lord and Savior

He will show me where those angels play

He has promised me I’ll have a safe haven

Where no demons dare to show their face

Only peace and contentment shall abound

We can walk with Jesus at a leisurely pace

We will never see heartache or any sorrow

In His arms for all eternity we shall ever be

We shall be blessed by our wonderful Savior

In the most beautiful world we could ever see

If it will be tomorrow when I ascend to Heaven

I will look for you to come through Heaven’s gate

For I know you will want to join me with Jesus

I have a smile on my face I know you won't be late
