My Life

We can only dream about tomorrow

And relive all those happy yesterdays

When youth guided our life back then

In my mind these thoughts ever stays

Youth was spent in depression years

Although we were poor we had dreams

We would think of those far away places

Although we knew we didn’t have the means

In our young twenties we were in the Air Force

Many places we had dreamed about we did see

Although we were in the Air Force for four years

We sailed on four US Navy ships on the open sea

As I look back the those long passed yesterdays

I am quite satisfied with the way I have lead my life

In all of these years I have met and found our God

I have also met and found a most wonderful wife

Let Us In

As we slowly walk to the end of the path

What will we find when we reach the end

Shall it be a land filled with milk and honey

Or a land where we can never find a mend

If we believe in a place where peace abounds

We shall find our niche to be in the land above

Where Jesus awaits to see all of God’s children

He will show us a heart that is filled with love

When we reach that lofty destination up there

We will find beauty our eyes have never known

God will be there sitting on a bejeweled throne

It is there He will give to us our well earned crown

God made Heaven for all of those who believe

His sin free son has absolved us of all our sin

When this Earthly life has ended and we die

Jesus will open the gate to Heaven and let us in

We Still Do Care

As the year 2016 rapidly comes to a close

We wonder what the year 2027 will give us

In a world where so much uncertainty lives

Don’t you think it is time to talk about Jesus

Will we bring His name back in our lives again

Like our forefathers did those many years ago

Let it be that everyone can worship as they want

May the word of God flourish and continue to grow

Let the children have their prayer time in school

See that every business meeting starts with prayer

Know that the United States of America still lives

That for the foundation of America we still do care

Could it be if we do not get the Lord to help us

This country will die and then will cease to exist

Or will enough people care about this country

That through our prayer, God’s will we can enlist

Will Let You In

I know I will find happiness when I meet Jesus

I will walk with Him on that sweet hallelujah shore

Knowing He will ever be by my side there eternally

I will be free of all my aches and pains forevermore

I want to see the unclouded sky that is seen in Heaven

Feel the unadulterated love that is given by sweet Jesus

Know the luxury of living in one of Heavens fine homes

Find living in God’s great heaven will make us ageless

Find the call to hear one of His great and fiery sermons

Feel the tear drops cascade down from my happy eyes

Knowing we will be safe for all of eternity with our Lord

For with our great Master we will ever know a surprise

You too can find that place of eternal love and affection

Just follow the commandments and confess all your sin

When you get to that city that was made up in Heaven

Jesus will open up those pearly gates and will let you in

Night Sky

As I look up into the nighttime sky

I see all the beauty God has made

A yellow moon is bright out tonight

A star twinkles then starts to fade

A comet tail brightly shines behind

I see what is called the big dipper

Orion is shining so bright this night

There is a group of stars like a slipper

Without clouds this night my eyes wonder

I see the firestorm of comets exploding apart

Flashing across the dark of nighttime skies

It looks like someone throwing a bright dart

It is amazing the beauty of the nighttime sky

These thing are there but I can’t see then at day

With the Sun being so bright during the daytime

It causes all the beauty of nighttime fade away

A City In The Sky

Far beyond yonder mountain

Lies a city that is up in the sky

We don’t ask how it got there

But we know the reason why

God made it as a home for us

Where we could live for eternity

If we confess sin and believe Him

This beautiful place we will see

Why did God make this nice place

It was from the love in His heart

He knew when He made it for us

It is a place from which we wont part

If you would like to see God’s place

He would love to welcome you in

His son died on an old wood cross

Saving you by taking on all your sin

That Wonderful Day

When I walk on those streets of Gold

I will have Jesus walking by my side

His friendly face shall greet me there

It is in Heaven where I will ever reside

Beauty that surrounds Heaven is wonderful

It was by God’s hand that made it this way

No one other could have made His Heaven

God can create this kind of beauty every day

God created man in His image we’ve been told

Great is He that made mortals like you and me

Ever will He love you even if sometime you slip

Love and obey Him, one day in Heaven you’ll be

Let Him walk with you and hear what He says

His advice will never lead you wrong or astray

When the final trumpet has sounded and gone

May you be in Jesus arms on that wonderful day

Walking With My Savior

As I walk along with my Savior

Happy feelings are in my mind

He has saved my soul from hell

His voice is so tender and kind

He talks about my eternal home

Where I shall ever be in His care

With the marvelous home he made

There with much beauty everywhere

He tells me of the streets of Gold

About walking on the beach of sand

How the Heavenly choir sings sweetly

Angels with harps play in His band

Sweet is this place called Heaven

Everything you want and more too

God has prepared this place for us

It is there one day I hope to see you

Be Secured

When that sting of death has passed

There shall be no more pain for me

I will be in my Savior’s arms forever

To live in Heaven with God eternally

On Earth there is always pain in life

Some days it is not good but really bad

We rely on our blessed Savior’s grace

His is the only grace we have ever had

Know He took on your sins as if His own

Died a cruel death that day upon Calvary

Nailed to a crude cross made from a tree

He death a way to Heaven for you and me

Obey all His commandments and repent

Your way to Heaven then will be assured

To live with your Savior in God’s Holy land

For you and the faithful will then be secured

A new Rebirth

To see Jesus Christ in all of His Glory

Is the upmost thing that is on my mind

There I will sing Him so many praises

Worship Him who is gentle and kind

To have a home with my dear Savior

Has always been my hope and prayer

There to spend an eternal life with Him

To be in His heart with ever loving care

I know it is through Jesus I go to Heaven

He will open the gate and He will let me in

He died so I could join Him up in Heaven

I was a sinner but He took on all my sin

When I get to see my home up in Heaven

There will be friends I knew down on Earth

They prove to God that they were faithful

Now God has given to them a new rebirth

Our Thirty Eighth Anniversary

The past thirty eight years have been a pleasure

Having been married to the lady that I really love

A union that was made between two loving people

As perfect as if it was made by someone up above

These wonderful years have passed by so rapidly

I can hardly believe how fast they have gone past

I think when we are having fun and we are happy

Our love will continue to grow and will forever last

May our years ahead be as happy as years past

You are still the sweet lovely lady that I first met

If I had searched this whole world I wouldn’t find

A more perfect couple than you and I as that duet

When our years on this Earth is over and is done

Heaven will be where we will live throughout eternity

There to live with all the believers in our loving Lord

Safe forever in the land where God we’ll love to see

Up In Heaven

Precious Lord hold on to my hand

Lead me in to your promised land

I will be yours throughout all eternity

In that land where we shall be free

Never will there be sadness or sorrow

There will no worries about tomorrow

In that great land God has made for us

There we will get to meet sweet Jesus

Never to see the darkness of a night

Because the Sun will always be bright

To our Savior we shall ever have love

He will always provide for us high above

No broken promises would we ever find

A truthful God who is strict but ever kind

He has love for everyone that we can see

He made Heaven a home for you and me

Won’t Be Any Returns

Today may be the last chance you will get

To confess your sins to the good Lord above

Tell Him that in His promise you do believe

Know that He has filled your heart with love

Tomorrow may be too late for you to talk to Him

Your chance for Heaven may have vanished away

For not knowing that day death will take your life

Don’t you think you should on your knees pray

Time is never on our side so decide it this day

To let all of our tomorrows then be in His care

Obey all of His commandments and be judged

Remember each night to Him give a nice prayer

If these things don’t convince you, Heaven help you

You will find a climate that will be hot and it burns

It will then be too late to ask for the Lord’s help

For once you are lost there won't be any returns

Our Thanksgiving Dinner

As our family sits at the table today

We will ask our Lord to bless the food

A festive Holliday season has just begun

Everyone here is in a very joyous mood

We have turkey and all the usual dressing

Mashed potatoes with mouth watering gravy

There is corn bread and lots of baked biscuits

Almost enough food to feed the whole Navy

For dessert I’ll have pumpkin pie with topping

Then it’s off to watch our favorite football team

It will take just a few minutes and I’ll be sleeping

My team will be winning but that is only a dream

As another Thanksgiving day is past and gone

We thank our God for giving us this grand day

May we all get together next year at this home

To enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner together I pray

Not Immune

Are we heading into perilous times

Will the world change as we know it

If that happens will it be better or bad

Will our economy take a serious hit

Will all the friendly countries desert us

Must then we face the world all alone

Will God then desert this free country

Will we then be left to care for our own

Think hard my friend about our future

For without God we will have no aid

This country then would cease to exist

Payment for our sins would be paid

If this country is to stand much longer

We must change our direction soon

Get down on our knees and then pray

Realizing this country is not immune

We All Will Adore

How could anyone reject Jesus

After what He has done for you

He died a horrible death that day

For your sins His life was through

He came to this Earth to save us

From a dreaded eternal life in hell

He said confess sins and repent

Your life in Heaven will be well

Everything up there will be great

You will see things never seen before

God has been precise with everything

Heaven is a place we all will adore

So say a prayer tonight before sleep

That Heaven would welcome you in

Then thank Jesus for what He did

Dying after taking on all of your sin

Your Pardon

If there is no tomorrow for me on the Earth

I will open my eyes and see a land of Gold

There I will again meet my Wonderful Lord

I will be up in Heaven I wont have to be told

There to see all the wonders God has made

Perfection in everything seen by these eyes

From the beautiful marble mansions we see

To the White beach of the river is no surprise

Wonders will not cease as we look around

Streets made from pure Gold is seen there

Not one cloud will ever be in Heaven’s sky

We will forever be in our loving God’s care

If you ever want to see all this beautiful land

You must confess your sin and then believe

Know Jesus is the way to that promised land

He died so a pardon for your sins you receive

He Will Give

If I stood on the world’s highest peak

I still wouldn’t be very close to Heaven

It is only through Jesus can we get there

If we follow Him our victory can be won

Son of God, only He can save our soul

He died on Earth to take our sin away

Show Him you love and will confess sin

Tonight, when before sleep you do pray

It is my hope you discover Jesus Christ

Before death in this world comes to you

He is our light and hope in this old world

It is with His love we will make it through

Never forget it was God who made you

It is in His eternal Kingdom we want to live

If we are a true follower of His teachings

Our eternal home in Heaven He will give
