He Will Fulfill

Its hard to believe how the years have passed

Time seems to fly by faster each year you live

As you age time seems to go faster each year

Eventfully comes a time there is no more to give

Some will never survive to have a ripe old age

Others can live a hundred years and even more

Some people will know a devastating sickness

They will pass from their life never finding a cure

As I pass through these late years of a long life

I look back to the years that I have passed through

I some times think of how our God gave me this life

How if I could there are things I wish I could undo

Sometime I shall meet my God up in His Heaven

There time will seem as though it is standing still

There will be no worries about what to do tomorrow

God has given to us a plan we know He will fulfill

I Want

I want to walk around Heaven with Jesus

Tell Him that I share with Him all our love

Thank Him for saving the sinners like me

For making a place for eternity up above

I want to tell Him of appreciation I have

For Him dying on the cross that sad day

He took on my sins and cleansed this soul

Because the wages of sin is death to pay

I want Him to show me Heaven’s beauty

All of the wonderful flowers that now grow

Hear Angels with their harps softly playing

See grass that seems to so slowly grow

I want to tell Him He is in my heart forever

My love for Him is always real and so true

He asks you to repent sin and read the Bible

There will be a place in Heaven for you too

Savior’s Loving Care

There will come a day for me up in Heaven

I will walk with Jesus on the streets of Gold

Happiness will overflow in this heart of mine

Beauty there could never be bought or sold

Knowing this is my home throughout eternity

I will fall down on my knees in a deep prayer

To tell my Savior how thankful I am for Him

How much better we are than we once were

We will see more beauty than Earth has seen

With a multitude of colors we could not conceive

When we lay our eyes upon the Heavenly shore

We will see sights that are very hard to believe

Every day will bring a heart full of love for me

No fears or anguish could I ever feel up there

Protected by the hands of our precious Lord

We shall ever have our Savior’s loving care

God’s Plans

When we enter that land of Glory

Beauty will be seen by these eyes

Our mortal life will pass before us

There will be no time for goodbyes

We will be welcomed to our home

One that was built by God’s hands

He made this place for His children

Just another part of our God’s plans

Our great Savior will greet us there

A beautiful smile will be on His face

He will tell us we have been faithful

A wonderful home shall be our place

It is with profound thanks I give Him

I can feel the love deep in my heart

In this land built for all His believers

What a wonderful way for it to start

You Shall Be Free

Lord I ask you would forgive this woeful sinner

It is with anguish I think of the sins I have done

I know you are a forgiving God and I thank you

You sent your Son so our victory could be won

With all the evils that can be found here on Earth

It is hard to keep a demon we call the devil at bay

He lays temptation on our pathway in every way

Ignore that rotten liar or it is in hell you have to pay

God stands for love he loves you and wants your love

No matter what your life has been He is your friend

He has a land where all of His believers have a home

It is an eternal land where your life there will never end

I will say a prayer that you will be saved from the devil

Only know God and what He can do for you and me

Heaven will be waiting if you believe in our dear Savior

Chains of hell can’t hold you forever you shall be free

A Crown To Win

Sinner bring your burden to Jesus

Tell Him all about your lost soul

Know that His blood has cleansed you

His love for you has made you whole

Although it has hurt Him to see you sin

If you confess this sin He will forgive

To worship and believe His blessed word

Will gain you an eternal life to live

Only through Jesus can you gain Heaven

No other way can you possibly get in

He has the final say to open up the gates

That leads you to Glory and a crown to win

You must understand that He loves you

He wants you to be there by His side

For all eternity He will love and protect you

Remember it is entirely up to you to decide

I Yearn For A Land

I yearn for a land that is much sweeter

Where perfection will reign forevermore

There I will be met by my precious Savior

Jesus will lead me through an open door

I will fall down on my knees as I meet Him

Weeping when I see His nail scarred feet

Knowing He died a cruel death on Earth

Dying for our sins made His life complete

He will smile as I look up and see His face

He will tell me I did good when down on Earth

In His hand He will have a jeweled Gold crown

It’s beauty will show I have gained it’s worth

In this land God has created for all His believers

Will be far more than we could have ever dreamed

How glad we will be that we listened to His teaching

To have ignored the devil and the plans he schemed

What Is Happening Today

We often reflect back to times long ago

When it was less hectic than it is today

Peaceful times were pleasing back then

Today you can’t let the children out to play

It is a much different world we live in today

Sad to see some of the terrible things we see

Tragic events seem to happen about every day

Is God telling us something, you know it might be

With fine policemen being killed almost daily

What can we do to stop this kind of hostility

We might start by praying to a merciful God

To make streets much safer for you and me

God didn’t make this world to be a battleground

But it seems as if some think that it should be

With total disregard for all human life they kill

Perhaps it is through drug dimmed eyes they see

His Loving Grace

As these days rapidly fade away

Closer to Heaven my soul shall be

On that day I shall meet my Savior

It is a beautiful Heaven I will see

How thankful I saw what He meant

When He guided me along that path

That has lead me to see the light

I will be safe from any of His wrath

With this feeling of love in my heart

Every thought is for my precious Lord

My home shall be with all believers

Its a place where none could be bored

Though I have never seen His Heaven

I know it must be a wonderful place

One day I will get to see my Savior

I have been saved by His loving Grace

A Home In Heaven

There is so much sadness in this world

Every day something troubles our mind

Some of these things we can see plainly

To many of the others we are always blind

Oh we see headlines in the newspaper

On TV and radio we can find the news

But how much is kept secret to the people

Things our eyes will never see these views

News is so slanted by some of the networks

It is hard to determine what is wrong or right

I guess they think we are a bunch of morons

They think someone has turned off our light

There is only one truth that we need know

God is alive and in Him we should believe

Confessing your sins and worshipping Him

Do these things a home in Heaven you achieve

Hear Of Jesus

In this ever changing world of ours

Heartaches come in many a way

We can dream of a perfect world

Somehow that dream fades away

Nearly every day we hear of trouble

At times it is home times it is foreign

We hear leaders of countries cussing

This is how many wars have begun

If only they thought of what comes next

They would use some common sense

Asking God to help them in all the ways

Would always be their greatest defense

But sadly even our own country fails

To understand what He can do for us

With religion taken out of our schools

Only at church do they hear of Jesus

I Want To Go

In the quiet time of evening I meditate

I think of what has happened this day

Knowing the Lord above can hear me

I fall on my knees and I begin to pray

I thank him for giving me another day

To be here with my wife I dearly love

Knowing it won't be too many years

Until I see my savior in Heaven above

Clearly the life I have lived isn’t sin free

I have asked for forgiveness to my Lord

He knows I have strayed off of the path

I pray to Him it isn’t more than I can afford

When that final curtain is pulled for me

There is something I want God to know

I love and respect everything about Him

No doubt it is up to Heaven I want to go

My Friend Doug Coleman

I have a deep sorrow that is in my heart this day

Since I heard my friend Doug has passed away

I have known this fine man for many long years

For his wife and all his family I do to God pray

Doug was a man who tried to make things better

Dedicating his life to the community where he lived

He served as a trustee and a County commissioner

I think back and find I have fond memories relived

I remember when he and his wife Kathy were married

A young couple who proved their love would ever be

Doug worked after school hours until he graduated

Then driving one of Boone’s trucks I would then see

Doug some day I will be with you up in God’s place

There we can talk over all the good times we knew

Until that time you shall ever be in my heart and mind

It was so great that I had a wonderful friend like you
