Shroud Of Death

When the shroud of death falls on a love one

Despair overcomes and our heart does grieve

We know we must let go for heaven is waiting

They will be up there in Glory we must believe

We will be parted only for a short period of time

It is then we will be reunited in that Heavenly city

Forever to be along beside our dear loving Savior

What a beautiful site my eyes are yearning to see

God put us on Earth just a short amount of time

Not known to us just how long this time will last

It could be for a few minutes or be for many years

We must plan for Heaven and forget about the past

You must be ready when that roll is called for you

You will not have even a second that you can spare

In a short time you will reach your home in Heaven

There you will be in God’s precious and tender care
