My Life

We can only dream about tomorrow

And relive all those happy yesterdays

When youth guided our life back then

In my mind these thoughts ever stays

Youth was spent in depression years

Although we were poor we had dreams

We would think of those far away places

Although we knew we didn’t have the means

In our young twenties we were in the Air Force

Many places we had dreamed about we did see

Although we were in the Air Force for four years

We sailed on four US Navy ships on the open sea

As I look back the those long passed yesterdays

I am quite satisfied with the way I have lead my life

In all of these years I have met and found our God

I have also met and found a most wonderful wife

Let Us In

As we slowly walk to the end of the path

What will we find when we reach the end

Shall it be a land filled with milk and honey

Or a land where we can never find a mend

If we believe in a place where peace abounds

We shall find our niche to be in the land above

Where Jesus awaits to see all of God’s children

He will show us a heart that is filled with love

When we reach that lofty destination up there

We will find beauty our eyes have never known

God will be there sitting on a bejeweled throne

It is there He will give to us our well earned crown

God made Heaven for all of those who believe

His sin free son has absolved us of all our sin

When this Earthly life has ended and we die

Jesus will open the gate to Heaven and let us in

We Still Do Care

As the year 2016 rapidly comes to a close

We wonder what the year 2027 will give us

In a world where so much uncertainty lives

Don’t you think it is time to talk about Jesus

Will we bring His name back in our lives again

Like our forefathers did those many years ago

Let it be that everyone can worship as they want

May the word of God flourish and continue to grow

Let the children have their prayer time in school

See that every business meeting starts with prayer

Know that the United States of America still lives

That for the foundation of America we still do care

Could it be if we do not get the Lord to help us

This country will die and then will cease to exist

Or will enough people care about this country

That through our prayer, God’s will we can enlist

Will Let You In

I know I will find happiness when I meet Jesus

I will walk with Him on that sweet hallelujah shore

Knowing He will ever be by my side there eternally

I will be free of all my aches and pains forevermore

I want to see the unclouded sky that is seen in Heaven

Feel the unadulterated love that is given by sweet Jesus

Know the luxury of living in one of Heavens fine homes

Find living in God’s great heaven will make us ageless

Find the call to hear one of His great and fiery sermons

Feel the tear drops cascade down from my happy eyes

Knowing we will be safe for all of eternity with our Lord

For with our great Master we will ever know a surprise

You too can find that place of eternal love and affection

Just follow the commandments and confess all your sin

When you get to that city that was made up in Heaven

Jesus will open up those pearly gates and will let you in

Night Sky

As I look up into the nighttime sky

I see all the beauty God has made

A yellow moon is bright out tonight

A star twinkles then starts to fade

A comet tail brightly shines behind

I see what is called the big dipper

Orion is shining so bright this night

There is a group of stars like a slipper

Without clouds this night my eyes wonder

I see the firestorm of comets exploding apart

Flashing across the dark of nighttime skies

It looks like someone throwing a bright dart

It is amazing the beauty of the nighttime sky

These thing are there but I can’t see then at day

With the Sun being so bright during the daytime

It causes all the beauty of nighttime fade away

A City In The Sky

Far beyond yonder mountain

Lies a city that is up in the sky

We don’t ask how it got there

But we know the reason why

God made it as a home for us

Where we could live for eternity

If we confess sin and believe Him

This beautiful place we will see

Why did God make this nice place

It was from the love in His heart

He knew when He made it for us

It is a place from which we wont part

If you would like to see God’s place

He would love to welcome you in

His son died on an old wood cross

Saving you by taking on all your sin

That Wonderful Day

When I walk on those streets of Gold

I will have Jesus walking by my side

His friendly face shall greet me there

It is in Heaven where I will ever reside

Beauty that surrounds Heaven is wonderful

It was by God’s hand that made it this way

No one other could have made His Heaven

God can create this kind of beauty every day

God created man in His image we’ve been told

Great is He that made mortals like you and me

Ever will He love you even if sometime you slip

Love and obey Him, one day in Heaven you’ll be

Let Him walk with you and hear what He says

His advice will never lead you wrong or astray

When the final trumpet has sounded and gone

May you be in Jesus arms on that wonderful day
