My Home In Heaven

When the last vestige of life is gone from Earth

All human life will be gone to Heaven or to hell

Perhaps we could prevent destruction of Earth

If we listen and follow our God and we do His will

But the way we despoil the Earth and what is in it

I know God isn’t happy about the way we do things

We will know if we are among ones who do wrong

If we are missing as the jeweled crowns God brings

One night with our Savior would show you the way

He would tell about a home He has made for you

With great White Marble buildings He made for us

That home will be yours forever if to Him you are true

Only one way you can find that home is with Jesus

He has the keys to the gate that will let you come in

No Silver, Gold or precious stones can pay your way

You must believe in Him and He will take away your sin

Heaven Or hell

Will tomorrow bring to you happiness

Have you made things right with God

Do you know if it is to Heaven or hell

Where you go when put under the sod

You make your own journey through life

No one will make those decisions for you

You can follow the life God wants for us all

Or take the steps the old devil wants us to

Follow God and live eternally up in Heaven

Or pursue the path the devil has put you on

If you follow God there is a life of happiness

Follow the devil that happiness is all gone

It is not a hard choice that you must choose

For the end result is where you eternally live

If God is your choice Heaven will be for you

If the devil then ever a life in hell he will give

Our National Emblem

High up in the sky a majestic Eagle soars

His keen eye scours the landscape below

He is looking for any animal he can catch

Or perhaps a Trout that is swimming slow

He makes no sound as he soars in the sky

His wings extended as far as they can be

His bill and talons are as sharp as a razor

He dives with speed his prey may not see

So free and easy this beautiful bird does fly

He makes maneuvers with breakneck speed

His strength and quickness are without equal

He is a ferocious fighter so others take heed

The Eagle is the national emblem of the USA

So proudly He represents what we are all about

He will never back down and show any defeat

His makeup shows that he has very much clout

He Can Give

If everything was left up to man

We would make shamble of life

A world that would have no hope

One filled with trouble and strife

God is what keeps it all together

Otherwise it would fall all apart

He has made a perfect universe

Man could never be that smart

He gives life to newborn babies

Extends life to some who are old

I am an eighty five year old man

Proof that I don’t need to be told

Let me tell you about God Almighty

I know that on this day he does live

That He can save your soul from hell

Your home up in Heaven He can give

Blameless

With the darkest of nights I find no fear

For my Lord will keep me from all harm

I shall ever be thankful for His guidance

With Him there shall never be an alarm

Darkness shall pass and dawn will come

God shows there is perfect circle of a day

Every twenty four hours we see that circle

Not one second does He let that time sway

We would expect no imperfections from God

For He made a complete universe in balance

Everything runs smoothly without any mistakes

We know this is all through our God’s guidance

Trust in God, confess your sins and find Heaven

He will invite you into His land of eternal promise

Up there will be a life that will never have an end

For sins we committed we will be held blameless

I Love Spring

I love to smell the clippings of a newly mowed lawn

It means that Wintertime has now over and is past

A time in which we struggled to find a warm place

We thought that cold Wintertime would forever last

But with the Springtime we can cast our coats aside

Shorts and short sleeved shirts will be what we wear

What a wonderful time of the year we will experience

If the temperature gets up past eighty I just don’t care

We see Azaleas and Rhododendron blooming so pretty

White and Pink Dogwood still have bloom for us to see

What a joyous landscape our God has given to everyone

Yes Springtime is as beautiful as anything could ever be

Thoughts of wetting a line at my favorite fishing hole

Come to my mind as I see this perfect cloudless sky

What excuse can I give for not doing my needed work

Guess I will just ignore them when they ask me why

Mother’s Empty Chair

Gazing at the empty chair I hear mother singing

Rock of Ages was one of mom’s favorite songs

Though that chair has been empty for a long time

It still seems like that is where mother still belongs

How my heart melts with all those wonderful lyrics

They still sound like she sung them long years ago

In my dreams she always sings with a perfect pitch

I will hear them again when up to God’s Heaven I go

Mothers are always special to her boys so it seems

Yes I know she always loved her two little girls too

But somewhere in her heart the boys were different

With all her children she did everything she could do

When I climb those Golden stair steps up to Heaven

I will first thank my God for taking this sinner up there

Then I would search out my dear mother and hug her

She would know then how much for her I really care
