Those Golden Stairs

Have you ever heard His sweet voice calling

Will anyone answer if He calls out your name

Have you thought of what will happen to you

The difference in Heaven and hell isn’t a game

God sent His begotten Son here to save us all

He has built a world where eternity shall be ours

If you ask forgiveness for your sins and believe

Your home will be far beyond the distant stars

This home shall be far beyond anything we see

Mere words could never express it’s great beauty

God used His expertise to make it so beautiful

This shall be a home that He made for you and me

There forever we shall live eternally with our God

Never shall we ever have any worries or cares

Protected by the mighty hand of our great Savior

Will you be one who will climb those Golden stairs

God’s Chosen Children

They are of God’s chosen children

Those born with downs syndrome

Life is usually short for some reason

Before God will then call them home

Many people don’t understand them

Most are a very loving kind of child

Just because they different from us

Doesn’t mean their thoughts are wild

We know when they leave this Earth

They all surely are bound for Heaven

They will have wings of a lovely angel

When from Heaven God does beckon

No doubt God loves all of these children

They are special for they commit no sin

When they pass from this sinful Earth

Jesus is at a portal and will let them in

That Day I Met Him

When the last breath is gone from my body

My soul shall depart from this Earthly ground

I look forward to seeing my Heavenly Father 

For I know soon that I will be Heavenly bound

My long journey thought life has had its pitfalls

There have been days I didn’t know how to turn

I knew I wanted to see my Savior up in Heaven

But I sinned and hell was a place sinners burn

That day I got to meet and talk to my dear Lord

Brought a new meaning to me as I heard His voice

He told me there is a place God made in Heaven

I must believe and confess it shall be my choice

Today the meaning of His words are plain to me

As He told me of that day he was hung on a cross

He told me it was done for a purpose for us sinners

He took our sins so that a new life would not be lost

Love At First Sight

With thirty nine years of wedded bliss

Two hearts have blended together well

Happiness has been ours through the years

More happiness than most could ever tell

I know the first time I met you it was love

A prettier lady I hadn’t met before that night

Your wonderful smile showed your beauty

When I first saw you it was love at first sight

These years with you have been complete

Without you I wouldn’t know where I would be

It is so wonderful to have you here by my side

A loving wife you have turned out to be to me

May we have many more years together here

In Heaven we will spend an eternal life forever

As we walk those Golden roads up in Heaven

We will keep the love that nothing could sever

Sights And Sounds Of Christmas

The stores were all crowded that night

Carolers were singing Christmas songs

A Fat man in a bright Red suit sits there

A little child on his lap just like he belongs

These are the sound and sights that we see

When we go down to the shopping center

It is a most joyous time for the little children

Though it is cold they still enjoy the winter

We see a pretty doll that is great for Mary

There is an IMAC that is right for Scooter

He will be starting in fourth grade next year

Already he is a doing great with a computer

Although we enjoy getting gifts for the kids

We must not forget what Christmas really is 

Jesus Christ was born in a manger this day

So this day we are cerebrating is really His

Our Holy King

As the snow gently falls to the cold ground

We can hear tiny bells ringing not far away

This is a season for joy and for celebrating

For soon it will be Jesus Christ’s birthday

Born in a manger with only straw for his bed

Our King came into this world born of Mary 

Three wise men had come to see this wonder

After they gave the baby gifts they didn’t tarry

It was feared that baby Jesus might be found

It had been ordered that baby boys be killed

To escape this cruel order Jesus must be hid

To hide Him the ones around Him were skilled

We celebrate His birth on Christmas each year

As we cerebrate this day if we think of anything

Know that He came from Heaven to save us all

Yes it is Jesus Christ we know is our Holy King

God’s Loving Grace

When I walk upon those streets of Gold

Jesus Christ will walk along by my side

His love has made a believer out of me

Up in God’s home I shall enterally abide

Down on Earth we lived in a sinful world

That evil old devil was forever enticing us 

Until I found the truth in my loving Savior

That was when I met my best friend Jesus

He told me about a place our Father made

It is a land where all true believers will live

You too can live there many times He said

Believe and confession of sin you must give

To live in God’s holy land is a great blessing

No anger will ever be shown in God’s place

There we will all be know as God’s children

We shall forever live in our God’s loving grace
