My Plan

As I was out walking I met a stranger today

I greeted Him with a cordial hello stranger

I haven’t seen you walk on this road before

Have you lost your way are you in danger

He smiled and said I have been here before

Many years ago I walked this same old path

I tried to tell the people about Heaven above

Some listened others gave me their wrath

They placed me on a cross up on Calvary

Nailed my hands and feet to that ugly tree

Stuck a sharp spear into my Earthly flesh

I soon died and from Earth I became free

Tears welled in my eyes as he was leaving

He turned and said you are a very nice man

Some day soon I will see you up in Heaven

I thanked Him and said Sir that is my plan

Memories

As a soft breeze blows over the meadow

It brings back memories of a time long ago

When I as a bare foot boy walked slowly

Since I had no place in particular to go

I could go swimming over in Brush Creek

A few of my pals might be swimming today

Or I could go over to the Osborn’s farm

There might be a ball game we could play

Those memories are still sharp in my mind

Along with a little White church standing there

I especially remember the church bell ringing

Our Sunday school teacher taught us with care

Those days are long past and never to return

Still the memories are planted deep in my mind

One day I will see things like this up in Heaven

Shown by a Savior who is ever gentle and kind

Welcome Us In

There will come a time when life is over

No more worries nor any pain shall I feel

I shall ascend to my home up in Heaven

There before God’s throne I shall kneel

He will welcome me to that Eternal city

Tell me I have done good down on Earth

That although at times I committed sins

An eternity in Heaven is what it’s worth

Although times on Earth were tempting

To not abide with Him would cause pain

It would mean I could never see Heaven

All would be lost with not a thing to gain

Only God can keep this great promise

If we believe and confess all of our sin

A gate will be open for us up in Heaven

Jesus will be up there to welcome us in

He Made Me Whole

When I climb that tall mountain

May it bring peace into my soul

Knowing that I shall rise higher

Now that He has made me whole

Yesterday I was a bad sinner

Then I found my friend Jesus

He told me of a world hereafter

A wonderful place for all of us

There we will find total happiness

See things never thought of before

Be in harmony with everyone there

Who could ask for anything more

If tomorrow you should meet Him

Listen to every thing He tells you

Then find He loves you so much

Every word He says to you is true

Far Above

Lord I am so tired and so weary

Is there some where I must go

You have told me about Heaven

A place that I want you to show

My time on Earth may be short

Until I pass to that great beyond

I know my Lord ever will bless me

To Him I shall love and respond

He is the Savior and Master of all

His word is right and ever faithful

Not one troubled word will we hear

Heed Him and you shall win the battle

To see Him when I get to heaven

Will over fill my heart with His love

Never would I seek any other place

My home forever would be far above

There Is No Hate

If tomorrow never comes on Earth

Will you be assured to be with God

Have you asked Him for forgiveness

Before being laid beneath the sod

You know He will forgive your sins

Ask Him when you kneel to pray

He loves you and will protect you

Through both nighttime and day

Tell your friends about our Savior

Heaven awaits all who do believe

He will send believers to Heaven

It is there all pains He will relieve

As you enter God’s lovely Heaven

He will meet you at the Golden gate

He will tell you you have done well

You are now where there is no hate

You Will Win

When your life seems dark and dreary

Take all your troubles to the Lord above

He will answer those prayers ask of Him

You will find your heart is filled with love

Your day will change as you talk with Him

Thoughts of a bad day will change to good

Pay heed to every word that He says to you

That place in Heaven is yours if you would

He will tell you He has made a home for you

Home that lasts throughout the eternal years

Where happiness abounds with love aplenty

There with God knowing we will have no fears

If tomorrow He should call will you be ready

Have you ask forgiveness for all of your sin

Do you believe there is a God up in Heaven

If you do there is a crown that you will win
