That Golden City

When we see that Golden City

No pain or sorrow will we find

Seeing Jesus in all of His glory

Will give to us a satisfied mind

That mean devil tried to trick us

Down on Earth with his evil ways

But we found the truth in our Lord

In Heaven we will spend our days

Knowing that the Lord is my Savior

I have found true love in my heart

With His promise of everlasting life

It is a thought from which I wont depart

If you too want to see that great city

It is through Jesus that you will go

Tonight before bedtime pray to Him

It will be your way to let Him know

Victory In Heaven

When we lose a friend our heart breaks

But it is something must happen to us all

When we are born surely then we will die

It will happen when our Lord wants to call

We think of dying and we really hate to go

But it is the only way we can see His land

If we will get to know the Lord and Master

Our new life after death in Heaven is grand

Jesus made all of this possible for everyone

He was born so He could save us from our sin

Taking all these sins as if they were His own

He now stands at Heavens gate to let us in

When it comes your time go will you be ready

Have you made Him the most important one

Will you admit to Him that you are only a sinner

Do this and your victory in Heaven will be won

Up In Heaven

If tomorrow never comes here on Earth

I will see you up on that Heavenly shore

We will reminisce about the good times

We will suffer this Earthly life never more

When that great trumpet sounds up there

It will be our way to know we are going home

God will be waiting to call us to His kingdom

Far from His place I would never want to roam

If we believe and have admitted our sin to Him

He will welcome us to God’s great eternal land

No problems or feelings of sorrow shall we know

Life up in His land of happiness shall be so grand

Knowing He waits for that right time to call us up

We must know that Jesus will welcome us there

With a smile and He will tell us well done my friend

My land shall be yours forever and use it with care

A Winter Scene

Much beauty is seen in a winter landscape

Snow is hanging on those Oak tree boughs

Like an artists painting that’s a masterpiece

We look out in awe as the frigid wind howls

It seems as though winter is made for children

They never seem to be bothered by the cold air

Down by the lake they have built a large bonfire

It seems as though they could stay without care

Riding on that sleek running sled becomes fun

Sometimes doubling will make the ride go fast

Climbing back up to the long hill is exhausting

But the fun is the ride down as long as it will last

My days of that kind of fun has long time passed

Still it is so much fun to remember what we seen

I wonder if we might find some snow up in Heaven

Where we could again see a beautiful Winter scene

God Will Have His Way

When the gates of Heaven come open

My friend Jesus will tell me to come in

Well done will be His comforting words

Here you will be completely free of sin

You have passed the test I made for you

These words He said to me was well done

Your faith in me has shown your great trust

He will smile when He tells me a crown is won

Only through His help have these days passed

With all the problems we find on Earth this day

We wonder how everything will some day end

One thing we know it is God will have His way

If tomorrow shall be that day I find Him up there

I know that my love for Him shall fill up my heart

To be in the land that will last throughout eternity

I know my love shared with Jesus shall never part

Heavens Journey

When this sin filled life is over

My journey to Heaven can begin

My Savior shall be by the gate

Only He would let me come in

I will see thousands of angels

Dressed in their gowns of white

They will have magnificat beauty

Their smiling faces are so bright

From out of nowhere I can see Him

Standing with His nail scarred hands

But with a gentle smile on His face

As He listens to those Heavenly bands

There is true happiness I find with Him

Only confusion I found down on Earth

Knowing what my Savior had planned

Has shown me just what it was worth

The Answer

Laying peaceful in the manger that night

He was sent to Earth to save man’s soul

A star was shinning to guide the wise men

To see the new born King was their goal

They brought expensive gifts to honor Him

Before then slipping off in the midnight air

No sounds does the baby make sleeping

Mother Mary cuddled him with much care

Tho the soldiers had orders to kill baby boys

Baby Jesus survived the night and He lives

Yes it was meant to be this way with our God

It was His Son’s life that night that He gives

Today we celebrate December twenty fifth

As the birthday of our most precious Savior

He is our only way to find our way to Heaven

Believe in Him and confess sin is the answer
