Paid Your Debt

If you will listen to your heart you’ll understand

He has given you the greatest gift you can ever get

A rebirth when your life on Earth is over and done

He took on all your sins and He fully paid your debt

With a home waiting for you up in His Heaven above

God loves you so much more than we do understand

He has forgiven us for all the mistakes we have made

This home He has made for us is so great and grand

If today is the day God calls for you to be with Him

Be ready by making sure your faith in Him is true

Remember He loves you and wants you near Him

He has a beautiful mansion He made only for you

With no pains or sorrows put on us up in Heaven

We can spend eternity in the Land God made for us

There we will be surrounded by His many believers

We will walk the Golden streets with our friend Jesus

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love lasts during her lifetime

It is sorely missed when she passes away

Time spent with her should be cherished

Tell her that you love her each living day

It’s when she is gone we sadly miss her

It feels as if our hearts would break into

Gone is that special feeling we had for her

Some times we have no idea what to do

Although we know she is living in Heaven

We miss the love and compassion she gave

There is an empty feeling of deep sorrow

That day they put our mother in the grave

One day we shall be back with our mother

We will walk together on the streets of Gold

Happiness will spring eternal deep in our heart

There my love for my mother every day will be told

What It Takes

When I meet with you up in Heaven

Our love for sweet Jesus we will give

There we will meet and greet old friends

It is an eternal life with God we will live

On Earth we found and loved Jesus

His words brought solace to my heart

He has saved my soul from the devil

With these feelings we shall never part

It makes me happy to know dear Jesus

He will lead me through that pearly gate

He will open that portal and will let me in

Come with me and please don’t be late

There is no other place like God’s Heaven

Filled with the wonders that only God makes

He has made this place for believers of God

Your heart felt belief in God is what it takes

Shall Never Part

I am meeting Jesus this morning

When the dew is still on the rose

Light wispy clouds drift overhead

A lamb lies near by in silent repose

We will walk and talk in the sunlight

All His words are heard by my ears

He tells me of that great Holy City

His smooth voice calms my fears

He tells me how it was on the Earth

Despised by many loved by some

He was harassed by nonbelievers

Even some thought he was scum

As He tells me of His eternal Kingdom

Feelings of grandeur fills up my heart

I know that one day there we will walk

Once there Jesus and I shall never part

The Old Poet

The poets pen now lays unused on the desk

It’s ink has dried and no rhymes will it make

It dried the day the poet breathed no more

That day we felt as if our hearts would break

Pain in his fingers made it hard to hold the pen

Still he, with God’s help would struggle through

Words would come to him as if they were magic

There were times that he didn’t have even a clue

In his younger days words came so easy to him

Making then rhyme he knew was a gift from God

His work was finished and all his writings were over

That day we laid the poet under the Earth’s sod

We wonder if God will like the old poets work

When he writes his poetry up there in Heaven

On Earth he was sure that God gave the words

Or else not one of his poems would ever be done

I am On My Way

I know my Lord is here when I need Him

He stands by me every minute of the day

Feelings of love now flow through my body

He hears the words every time that I pray

Each day He makes my world much better

For I know that some day Heaven I will see

To live in a world that only God could create

Will one day bring happiness to you and me

We know that our God is a good God that lives

Just look around and tell everyone what you see

A world where everyone has our God’s promise

That we can live with our Heavenly Father eternally

I know that one day I shall live in that great land

Where time will not be counted by an hour or day

But where He has made a Heaven to live forever

I hope one day you will join me for I am on my way

Give Me The Nod

One day I will meet you up in Heaven

There all our prayers will come true

We will join in God’s Holy convention

We will know if a crown for us is due

There we will meet our Lord and Master

Find friends who had come here before

Walk in the fertile Green fields of Clover

Find love in our friend Jesus forever more

We will see streets that are lined with Gold

Castles made of granite shaded alabaster

See beauty our eyes had never seen before

All made for us by our great Lord and Master

If you should go first and I remain on Earth

My days will be filled with prayers with God

I know when it becomes my time to join you

Our Heavenly Father will give me the nod
