Faithfully True

When the gnarly fingers of death overtake me

My life on this old Earth will be over and done

I shall be on that road up to the promised land

Once there I will know my victory has been won

There I shall see the glory of our God’s Kingdom

Never to feel or know the pain of a mortal again

Live in that beautiful home He has built for us all

Our happiness will abound like it has never been

We shall see the ones who passed on before us

Dear ones that had departed with our great love

We grieved then but now find these divine feelings

Feelings that can only come from our God above

If you read the Holy Bible and believe in its words

Confess your sins and ask our God to forgive you

Your home will be with all of us believers in Jesus

To Him we will always and forever be faithfully true

Watching Over Me

Although the valley is filled with dark shadows

Walking along with my Savior gives light to see

There is no fear from knowing my troubled past

Because I know my Lord is watching over me

He shall lift me from this valley that is so dark

Bring me up to the height of the morning Sun

Show me all the beauty in Heaven He created

Give me a crown for the victory that I have won

Forever shall I abode in the house He made me

Live in complete harmony with those living there

Hear the harps played by the angels great band

Know I shall ever be in my loving Father’s care

Only happiness shall be seen in the land up high

Feelings of sadness will be left in the land below

Everyone will be treated with love and compassion

All because our Lord and Savior does love us so

Time For A Reason

God has given us time for a reason

A time to be born and a time to die

What we do with the time He gives

Will send us to Heaven if we comply

He asks that we confess our sins

Also we must believe in His name

We know that He is our only God

That Heaven is real not just a game

Alway remember that Jesus lives

Our Lord is not some kind of a fable

You can find the answer to all questions

If you will start reading the Holy Bible

So from your cradle to the cold grave

You will have time to give God your love

He will show you a land that is beautiful

When you ascend to Heaven up above

Filled With Love

My Lord is always with me

So I shall never walk alone

He comforts me as we talk

Never shall I be on my own

He tells me of a great home

Where I shall for eternity live

There will be love in His heart

That He will forever to me give

How happy He has made me

Knowing I will have a new life

Lifted from a very evil old world

Where I will never again see strife

That day when He welcomes me

To that glorious land far up above

I shall tell Him what is in my heart

How only for Him it is filled with love

A Perfect Fit

Each step we take brings us closer to our God

Soon our journey will end in that wonderful city

There we will find things we never dreamed about

In that beautiful land God has made for you and me

Although we could never comprehend that beauty

God put in Heaven the time in which He created it

It is just the beginning of His magical transformation

For everything that He has ever made is a perfect fit

He has made us homes where we will eternally live

White Marble houses with silver roofs and walls of Gold

Will be there waiting for all of those who believe in Him

We know and believe because that’s what we were told

So enjoy those steps and let your mind think about it

Love your Father and tell Him how much you adore Him

When that final step leads you to the portals of Heaven

Thank your precious Savior for helping you over the brim

Under God’s Care

Dark clouds hide the Sun this evening

God is planning fireworks for this night

With bright lightning lighting up the sky

Dry fields will get soaked just about right

Down in the bottom land corn is planted

Rain will make the seed corn soon sprout

Soy beans are starting to cover the land

This farmer now has all of his crops out

It might seem the farmer can rest awhile

During this time it seems he is never done

He has vegetables to plant for the canning

Grows pumpkins that a blue ribbon was won

Tomorrow bright and early he will get started

Last nights rain has made it a refreshing air

It has made it just wet enough to set tobacco

He knows that everything is under God’s care

A Different World

There are times I think about my childhood

Days were so much more pleasant back then

Time has changed the way things are done now

I sit and wonder what has happened how and when

Back then God was a part of our school learning

Now not a word about Him in school can be found

It is sad to know that a few can cause these changes

I guess the devil will always have these people around

We now wonder how much longer God will let them do it

Until He becomes angry and brings everything to an end

There are times we wonder why He has let things happen

Perhaps it is good that we don’t know what He will send

If we could only go back to those carefree days of the past

How much more happiness in this world we would see

I know God would be a lot happier with all of the people

This old world would then be safer for both you and me
